Looking back with thankfulness on Bergamo

Now that the 2026 Bergamo edition of the ITEA school and conference has come to a close, it is time to thank—once more—the local organizing committee (Gianmaria Martini, Laura Ogliari, Flavio Porta, and Davide Scotti) for hosting a truly amazing event!

We enjoyed a phenomenal scientific program (with special thanks to the Scientific Committee chaired by Jonathan Hall), an outstanding summer school (put together by the school committee chaired by Stefanie Peer), and a wonderful social program (foreseen by our venue committee chaired by Heike Link). It was fantastic from start to finish.

A special thank you to everyone who contributed paper presentations, and to our plenary speakers Joan Walker and honorary member Sergio Jara-Diaz.

I hope to see you all again next year in Tokyo (August 16–20)!
