Join us in Tokyo for ITEA 2027 (Aug 16-20)

Dear colleagues and friends of the ITEA,

On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee, I am delighted to invite you to the 2027 ITEA Annual School and Conference, to be hosted by the Graduate School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, Hongo Campus, from August 16 to 20, 2027.

We are honored to welcome the ITEA community to Japan. ITEA 2027 will be an important opportunity to open the ITEA community more widely to Japan and the Asia-Pacific region, and to encourage new dialogue among scholars, students, practitioners, and policy makers from around the world.

Tokyo offers a highly relevant setting for these discussions. As a large metropolitan region with dense and multimodal transport networks, the city provides many connections to key issues in transport economics, including congestion, pricing, public transport, infrastructure investment, demographic change, accessibility, and decarbonization.

The event will follow the standard ITEA format, combining an intensive PhD School with a three-day Conference. The Hongo Campus, located in central Tokyo, will provide a compact and accessible academic venue for lectures, paper sessions, discussions, and informal exchange.

The Local Organizing Committee is committed to making ITEA 2027 a scientifically stimulating, well-organized, and welcoming event. We very much look forward to welcoming you to the University of Tokyo.
